Therese has been a lifelong equestrian. She began riding at the age of five when her parents gave her lessons as a birthday gift. Little did they know the path that would ensue! Weekly lessons at the local riding stable, 4-H, and mucking stalls at a local Tennessee Walking Horse breeding farm, and ten years teaching at a local camp/riding stable taught her the value of hard work and horsemanship.
There are many mentors, trainers, friends and family that taught, encouraged, and gave time over the years to provide Therese a well rounded education in Dressage and Eventing. Therese believes in always learning and constantly participates in lessons and clinics with the best trainers in the U.S.
As a USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist, Therese possesses a four star rating on Centerline Scores, and is looking forward to achieving her Gold medal in the near future. She has competed multiple horses successfully at Dressage at Devon as well as numerous Region 2 Championships, and USDF National Finals.
Therese's Eventing career has catapulted in recent years. She has competed through Intermediate and 3 star level. Therese has successfully brought many horses and riders up through the ranks from Starter to Preliminary. She has a successful group of students who enjoy competing along the East Coast, as well as in Aiken, South Carolina, where Therese makes her winter training base.
Therese works out of River Edge Farm in Hunting Valley Ohio; a historic property rich in character, offering state of the art facilities such as a grass gallop, miles of hacking, a cross country schooling field, and Attwood Equestrian Surface engineered dressage court and jumping rings as well as Fair Winds Farm in Chagrin Falls. In winter, Therese makes her home base out of the beautiful Stable View Farm in Aiken South Carolina, from January to April, a facility that is second to none, and leader of innovation in the equine industry.
